Delivery Information


A delivery service to make your life easier
By working with our delivery partner DPD Local, we’re utilising the latest technology to make your delivery on time, securely and at your convenience. We want you to be in charge of your delivery to make sure that it is safely delivered, with the minimum of inconvenience to you.

Information you provide
Accurate information is the key to success. When ordering online, please make sure that you enter your postcode accurately. By including your mobile number as well as your email address too means we can notify you by email or text of the anticipated ‘one hour’ delivery window.

Order processing and shipping notification
We will both confirm when your order is being processed and then confirm that your package has been shipped so you will know when your bear has started their journey to their new home with you.

Convenience for you
You will not be required to wait in all day for a parcel. A personalised text message or email will be sent to you advising you of the date and time of delivery. If the date is not convenient, you can choose to reschedule delivery for a different day if required.
If you’re out for the delivery

You will receive a text message and email on the day as soon as your package is out for delivery with a ‘one hour’ delivery window.

SMS/email messages for calling card deliveries
SMS and email calling card notifications will be sent to you, providing you with speedier notifications when a calling card has been left at the delivery address.

Update your delivery details whilst on the move
DPD Local have a facility where you can track your parcel or rearrange delivery easily and conveniently while on the move.
By visiting the DPD Local mobile website you can quickly locate the information you’ll need about your delivery and, if necessary, make changes. Once on the mobile website, you will be able to:

•    Arrange to collect from the local depot.
•    Change the delivery day to a more convenient date.
•    Change to an address where you know someone will be in to receive the parcel.
•    Ask DPD Local to leave the parcel in a safe place.

The details of the web site will be included in your email order confirmation.
If your parcel can't be delivered

It will be returned to the depot and the driver will leave you a calling card with 4 options:
•    Collect from Depot - choose to collect your parcel at a time convenient to you.
•    Leave in a safe place - call to arrange for DPD Local to redeliver to a safe place at your address.
•    Change delivery details - choose an alternative day or address within your postcode sector for your delivery.

If there is a problem with your delivery or your parcel arrives in an unsatisfactory condition, please inform us by calling The Bearhouse on 01566 777092 within 48 hours to enable us to contact the courier and deal with the issue as efficiently as possible.
